“Dad, if breathing means living than what does living means? If everyone must die, then why did God create us?”
Bion:
“That’s a very deep question Zoie. Before answering your question, just tell me what comes in your mind when I say LIFE?”
Zoie:
“Isn’t it simple, LIFE means to live, to eat, to work, to earn and to enjoy.”
Bion:
“That’s where all of us go wrong Zoie. The answer that you gave is the apparent side of the coin that we see. The reason that everyone can describe life in words is because it is a perception imposed upon them by the society but in reality, life is far above words.
Zoie, I would like to tell you that Living is not just about having existence. Living is an emotion that must be felt and the best way to understand this emotion is by experiencing it.
For your second question, just tell me Zoie, if you get max skills in your game, won’t you get bored with that game very soon?”
Zoie:
“That is obvious dad. If I will be at max level, I would have already got everything in my game, then what’s the use of that game. There won’t be any fun in it.”
Bion:
“See, you yourself gave the answer to your question. Like videogames, life is also a game. When you win in game, you become happy and when you lose you become very sad. Similarly, you can feel the same emotions in life. The only difference is that in your game you can start again but in life at the end of the game (life), the game must shut down permanently.
As far as why God gave us this existence, it is because he wants us to enjoy our own game to our fullest and this is the reason why he has provided us with a ‘cheat’.”
Zoie:
“What ‘cheat’ daddy?”
Bion:
“The ‘cheat’ that God gave is that he has given us the complete control over our game. This means it is up to us how we want to play. We can play as a good person or as bad person or as rich or as beggar or as…., the list goes on.”
Zoie:
“Dad, you earlier said, that Life is all about existence. Then do non-living beings also have life”
Bion:
“Absolutely, everything in this universe and beyond has life. Any existence that is present and has a role to play has life. Even books that we read have life in them. They see us grow; they remain with us forever and make a strong impact on us. If you see through your soul, Zoie, my child, you will find that whether it is land or sky, car or house, furniture or electronic gadgets, everything consists of life inside them.”
Zoie:
“Dad, how did you get to know so much about life?”
Bion:
“Zoie, anyone can understand about Life. But the only requirement is that we have to open the windows of our heart so that our soul can see the world. And once our soul starts seeing the world, we start to understand LIFE.”
Zoie:
“But dad, when we know that we have to die one day, then, how can we live under this fear of death?”
Bion:
“Anything is a fear only till you think it to be. Why are you afraid of death? Have you experienced it? NO, you have not, if you have not experienced it then why do you fear from it. We feel sad when we see someone die, but even we don’t know where death takes them. It might be a start of a new journey. Therefore Zoie, you must not let something (death) that must come in future destroy your present. You must live your present to your fullest.
Always remember this Zoie, that the mantra to enjoy life is to live it open heartedly. If you are happy than your mom and I would be happy, if we would be happy than our parents and friends would be happy and like this, the chain of happiness will go on, ultimately MAKING THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE HAPPY.”
